Dr. John Ballentyne LDS RCS (Eng)
John qualified in 1969 from the renowned dental school in Guy’s Hospital, London. John has been practicing for over 40 years. John has a wealth of experience in both traditional and cosmetic dentistry. John’s main area of interest is dental implants.
After his post graduate training at Sheffield University in 1998 in dental implants he has fitted more than a thousand implants. For nervous patients John is experienced and trained in intravenous sedation. On the cosmetic side, John has helped many patients achieve the perfect smile through an assortment of modern technologies and treatments; including traditional restorative dentistry, dental implants, crowns, bridges, tooth whitening, porcelain veneers, Cerinate Lumineers, etc. He is fully trained and experienced using the latest in porcelain veneer technology, Cerinate Lumineers, and, according to Cerinate has fitted more Lumineers in the UK than any other dentist.
Cerinate Lumineers became popular off the back of the hit US series “Extreme Makeover”, and have subsequently been popular with a number of Hollywood actors and celebrities – thus creating the term “Hollywood Smile”.
